What happens if my subscription payment fails?
If your subscription payment fails, we understand that sometimes these things happen. Here's our fair and transparent grace period process:
14-Day Grace Period
When a payment fails, your subscription enters a "past due" status. During this 14-day period:
- Your credits remain fully usable - Continue using the service normally
- We'll send you email reminders to update your payment method
- Stripe will automatically retry your payment a few times
Days 14-30: Suspension Period
If payment isn't received within 14 days:
- Your subscription will be suspended
- Your credits will be frozen (not lost yet!)
- You won't be able to use appraisal features
- Simply update your payment method to restore full access instantly
After 30 Days: Cancellation
If payment still isn't received after 30 days:
- Your subscription will be cancelled
- Remaining credits will be forfeited
- You can always resubscribe in the future
How to Resolve
To update your payment method at any time:
- Go to your Subscription page
- Click "Update Payment Method"
- Enter your new card details
- Your subscription will be restored immediately
Common Payment Issues
- Insufficient funds - Ensure your account has enough balance
- Card expired - Update to a current card
- Bank blocked the charge - Contact your bank to authorize payments to Appraise.net
- Incorrect billing address - Make sure your address matches your card
If you're having trouble, just reply to any of our payment reminder emails and we'll help you out!
