What are pricing strategies?

Pricing strategies help you determine the optimal asking price for your domains based on the appraisal value and your selling goals. We provide 6 different pricing recommendations for each appraised domain: Higher STR (Sell-Through Rate) Strategies - Price lower for faster sales and quicker liquidity: Aggressive: Quickest sale, most competitive pricing Recommended: Balanced approach for faster turnover Premium: Higher quick-sale price with good appeal Lower STR Strategies - Price higher for maximum value, patient selling: Aggressive: Competitive but above appraisal value Recommended: Premium positioning for quality buyers Premium: Maximum asking price for patient sellers Note: Higher STR Recommended and Lower STR Aggressive strategies are intentionally close and may show identical prices for most ranges. This is by design - they represent the 'sweet spot' where quick-sale pricing meets patient-seller entry pricing.

How do I set my preferred pricing strategy?

You can set your preferred pricing strategy in your profile settings: Go to Your Profile Scroll to the "Pricing Preferences" section Select one of the 6 pricing strategies Optionally enable "Asian Market Pricing" for lucky number 8 pricing (88/888) Click "Save Pricing Preferences" Once set, your preferred price will automatically display in appraisals, lists, and batch results as "My Price".

What is charm pricing?

Charm pricing uses psychological pricing tactics to make prices more appealing. Our system automatically applies tier-appropriate pricing: Entry & Mid tier (under $50K): Prices end in 95 or 995 (e.g., $4,995, $24,995). This makes prices feel significantly lower psychologically. Upper-mid tier ($50K-$100K): Prices round to clean $5,000 intervals (e.g., $50,000, $55,000, $60,000). This creates a smooth transition to premium pricing while maintaining professional presentation. Premium tier ($100K+): Round milestone numbers convey prestige, using $5,000 or $10,000 intervals (e.g., $100,000, $150,000, $200,000). Asian market pricing: When enabled, all prices end in 88 or 888 regardless of tier (e.g., $4,888, $52,888, $158,888). The number 8 is considered highly auspicious in Chinese culture, symbolizing prosperity and wealth. All our pricing recommendations automatically apply appropriate charm pricing based on the domain's value tier and your market preference.

How do price tiers work?

Our pricing strategies use curve-based logic with three tiers, each with different multipliers: Entry Tier ($0 - $5,000)

Can I change my pricing strategy later?

Yes! You can change your pricing strategy anytime from your profile settings. The change takes effect immediately and will be reflected in all your appraisals, lists, and batch results. You can also toggle Asian market pricing on/off as needed.

Do I have to use the recommended price?

No, the pricing recommendations are guidance tools to help you make informed decisions. You should consider factors like: Your personal financial goals and timeline Current market conditions and demand Domain age, history, and existing traffic Competitive domains in the marketplace Your negotiation strategy and flexibility Our recommendations provide a data-driven starting point, but you should adjust based on your unique situation and market knowledge.
